Bomber bottle from Sherbrooke beer club in Edmonton.
Perhaps too much exposure to hazy, juicy IPAs recently but this was a breath of fresh air.
Pours a near clear copper colour with finger of white slightly rocky head.
Aroma of rye, spicy caramel malt, earthy piney hops.
Tastes of spicy grainy caramel malt, rye bread, some grapefruit rind, resinous pine with building bitterness.
Clean medium mouthfeel with nice carbonation - building and lingering hop bitterness that hangs on the palate long past the empty glass.
Reminds me of Founders Red Rye IPA - really good!

Appearance - Pours a warm caramel with three fingers of foamy cream coloured head.
Smell - bready and rye malts, piney, earthy, leafy hops, hint of pine resin, hint of caramel, and earthy yeast.
Taste - Bready and rye malts upfront followed by the bitterness of piney, earthy, and leafy hops. The hint of pine resin, caramel, and earthy yeast finish the brew off.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Finishes sticky with both the rye malts and hops lingering in the aftertaste.
Overall - An enjoyable Rye beer from Driftwood. Pleasant and quaffable characteristics to this beer make this one a delight to drink.

Driftwood Brewery 'Limb From Limb' Rye PA @ 7.0% , served from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $8
A-pour is a light gold from the bottle to a clear gold in the glass with a medium off-white head leaving a spotty lace along the pint
S-mellow pine , citrus tropical melon , spicy rye
T-clean crisp Pale ale , rye doesn't dominate
MF-decent carbonation , feels full bodied
Ov-kinda liked it , as a seasonal , not an every day beer for me
