Irish Red Style Ale. Lightly hopped and bottle conditioned. Fermented with roasted barley, fine malted grains and wildflower honey.

Red amber, thin tan fizzy head soon vanishes to thin ring and then nothing.
Aroma is toasty barley, honey, bread, with vague hints of tea and peppery grass.
Taste is light sour fruits, vinegary honey, faint toasted barley in the finish. Lightly sweet, it has faint hint of bitterness. It’s pleasant, a bit different, but thin, one-dimensional and a bit watery.

Pours a deep dark red color with a small white head.
Aromas are of roasted caramel malts, a bit grainy, toast like, and with hints of bread.
Taste is like the nose, roasted malts and breads. There is a slight peppery spice and brewed tea like quality as well. Beer then finishes with a sweet thick and soft honey note.
Mouthfeel is pretty decent, thick, and with a hint of carbonation.
Drinkability is ok. The best of what I thought was a rather unimpressive line up of beers from Rabbit's Foot / Red Branch. I don't mean to bash the brewer, I just think they need some refinement, and to shift the focus away from just the honey they use in their beers.

Poured into pint glass...
A: Pours an amber red with hints of orange fairly transparent. Head forms at two fingers, lots of bubbles that fade quickly to a thin foam on the surface. Zero lacing whatsoever.
S: Bready malt with a little toasty dry finish. Faint hop aroma almost goes unnoticed. Honey is irrelevant in the nose, but a tea like flavor is picked up.
T: Follows the nose...again the honey goes unnoticed, pretty flat flavor profile and it drops off in a hurry leaving a dry finish that fails to impact many tastebuds.
M: Light body with decent carbonation, very smooth and light, thinner than I hoped.
D: Very drinkable as it is so light and smooth with few flavors to get in the way of the drinking. Unfortunately the lackluster flavor profile makes you second guess whether or not you want more.
