On tap on the Barba Roja bar.
Black color with red highlights and a thick head with medium retention.
Aroma with predominant notes of home made coffee and light cocoa.
Sweet flavor with notes of coffee, lots of cola, citrusy and noble hops, and some wood. Mellow aftertaste.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
This felt to me more like a Dunkel rather than a Doppelbock (with 4.8% abv?!?), again just too bland, sweet and not revealing the complexity we usually get in the style.
