Dark amber copper color with a thick beige head with good retention.
Aroma with predominant notes of caramel and some creamy chocolate. Good, but simple and it doesn't smell like an IPA.
Flavor with clear notes of chocolate, some grapefruit citrusy, English earthy hops and prunes. Dry aftertaste with a low bitterness. No way has this had 55 IBUs.
Medium body with strong carbonation. It is hard to believe this is 8.7% abv, I doubt it.
This brew is nice, balanced and pleasant to drink, though this sure more like a Brown Ale rather than an IPA. I rated this as the former.
