Its good to see Pearl Street delve into new styles like they have lately, this new DIPA poured a clear rich copper with a tight formed very sticky 1/2 finger white head a good pour with good clarity. Not big in your face hop aromas more balanced in character sweetish caramel malt mixed with leafy hop with hints of tangerine and mint Iam wondering what hop variety is in there seems a bit English in its profile.Balanced flavors as well a firm biscuity malt base goes hand in hand with a slightly resiny hop flavor melding into a somewhat citric finish that ends abruptly.A decent stab at the style I think the new Lake Effect pale ale has more hop character but this has some nice DIPA qualities.
