Served on tap into a shaker glass at the Pearl Street Grill and Brewery
A- Poured black with a one finger creamy mocha head that left a little lacing. Ruby highlights shined through a little.
S- Toasted chocolate malt, jammy fruitiness, some smoke, and some bitter chocolate
T- Toasted chocolate malt, jammy fruitiness, smoke, touch of bitter chocolate, pretty nice hop presence and bitterness, some citrus, and a mineral like flavor
M- Creamy, some nice prickly carbonation, smooth, and finishes dry
O- First schwarzbier I have ever had. Pretty unique tasting beer, reminded me of some of the American Black Ales I have had with the roasted malt and the nice hop presence. It also had a nice dark fruit jam like flavor and aroma and some smoke that set it apart from some of those beers.
