a- 66cl uniquely shaped bottle poured into a 22oz perfect pint, crystal clear straw coloring, very active streams of carbonation, about a fingers worth of head that fades pretty quickly to an uneven layer of lace. very cool label which shows cards from the beer's namesake game.
s- grain, straw, a hint of a hop presence, pretty straight forward nose, clean though, and touch of sweetness comes through too.
t- taste pretty much echos the nose, grain, hops come through ever so slightly, light sweetness too, not overly complex flavors going on here, but this is the kind of beer i could see sessioning while playing patruni e sutta with my big italian family.
m- light bodied.
d- drinkability is good here, not the best beer of the style, but it goes down easily. i guess it tastes a bit better because my parents brought it home from italy during their recent trip - you know, sentiment. great bottle design, apparently this is very well known in sicily where it is brewed. beer is named after a popular italian card game too, very fun game.
