Brut has been a long time coming. Bruno was nice enough to share his bottle at BrewDog São Paulo. To this, I say thank you so much! Here it comes, out of a fancy box and fancy champagne-like bottle. On to the beer:
Leaning towards the dark side of blonde Brut presents a soft pleasant head on top which is airy. I smell a little Brett in the aroma, also a vague tartness and a little sweetness. Brut starts off with a tart taste. It also has the sweet and juicy apricot aspect found in Wäls Trippel It is a dry beer with a semi-sweet finish, and given the life of its happy bubbles and hidden ABV, Brut could be the substitute for champagne at your next big event.

Hazy orange color with a thick head with an eternal plate.
Mildly sour aroma with notes of orange-lemon and sulfur with a mild vinous funky profile.
Sweet flavor with notes of oranges, lemongrass, yeast, sweat, candied fruits, pineapple, sulfur, peaches, apple pie and herbal hops. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Medium body with characteristic carbonation. Alcohol of 11% is surprisingly well hidden.
It felt like a mix of a sweet Belgian Strong Ale with a Tripel with relatively a decent amount of herbal hops (which is welcome and balanced). Although this had a very good execution (it might not be short of DeuS), it is not my preferred style and I usually prefer less sweet beers.

Bottle at Mondiale 2013.
Lighter orange/yellow in colour, voluminous white head with fantastic retention and lacing. Bretty and tropical fruits on the nose with some champagne qualities, has some similar notes to the Mikkeller Sauvin Brut. Bright citrus and tropical character on the palate, wood, lower than champagne carbonation and fantastically gentle carbonation. My top beer at Mondiale.
