Consumed from a can in Vic Falls. There is literally nothing to this beer - no nose, very mild taste, no body. I genuinely wonder how good the nose of the other reviewers are (or how bad my nose is) to be able to detect anything. One of the worst non-infected beers I’ve ever had.

Poured from the 330ml bottle into a pilsner glass at a safari lodge in Victoria Falls. The beer is a very pale straw color. Watery character with hints of crackery malt and grass. Fairly typical for an African lager. Not terrible after a hot day but nothing out of the ordinary.

November 2016: Shared can at local tasting. ABV is 4.7%. Pale golden colour, white head. Dusty and "chemical" aroma. "Dusty", dry and bland flavour. No good.

On a trip around southern Africa I had this in Zimbabwe. Pretty much average beer, but considerably better than others I had on the trip.

L- Notably 'yellow golden' rather than any 'golden brown'. Not a criticism just quite striking. Pours with 3mm head that had dissipated to lacing before I take a sip.
S- Subtle, with just a hint of over-ripe fruit.
T- Hoppy/bitter, with some balancing richness. Better than I expected from the Look and Smell.
F- Quite dry with some body following, then the finish is dry and lingers. Certainly refreshing. Although the carbonation in the glass is disappointing, in the mouth it has retained well.
O- This really was a swerve-ball for me, and I'd no idea what to expect. The first Zimbabwean beer I've ever heard of, never mind drunk, bought from a tiny kiosk-shop I chanced upon in passing in Paddington station in London, UK! ['The Savanna'].
330ml can. It says to look on the base of the can for the BB, but there is nothing there.

From the notes I wrote down some years ago:
Clear yellow colour,, no head and no lace. Aroma is just herbs. Watery body.
No taste, is just water with herbs.

CAN
Gold with some speckles. 3.75
Sweet dough and flower nose with some DMS. 3.25
Sugary malts, some grain sack, and a vaguely perfumed hop end. Adjuncty cream ale sweetness throughout. 3.25
Crisp, thin, light. 3.25
Sweeter and less hoppy than the equivalent US cheap macro. I can see this being good in hot weather. But nothing like a good beer - mostly water. 3.25

This is a typical euro lager / american pale lager type beer. The can was brought back from our vacation last July. The beer pours a yellow clear with nice white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent is has faint grain....wet saaz like hops. The taste is light and crisp...nice balance between bittering hops and malt. The mouthfeel is light in body with good carbonation. Overall this is a nice easy drinking beer....probably better for hotter days.

Poured into a pint glass yielded a pale yellow color and minimal head. Smell was slight. Taste was typical of most American adjunct lagers probably brewed for tourist consumption, but it was not unpleasant. Mouthfeel was not too good, but overall this brew was drinkable if nothing is else is available (the only available beer was worse). I did drink several after a hard day at Victoria Falls and wanting to linger in the resort restaurant viewing the grazing warthogs. Topped off a great day, but this is not a beer I would take home to mother.

I had this quite a bit in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. I actually did like it a bit more than the other available brews. There is maize used in this one, and even though its anadjunct, I think it gave an interesting flavor profile that was not all that bad. Clean flavor profile. Mild nose, but still a bit there. Very easy to drink.
