L- Mid gold, clear, pours with 5mm big-bubble white head, receding very quickly.
S- Very low-key grainy richness.
T- Something isn't right here, the first flavour coming through was very much more like apple juice than beer. I'm struggling to find beer-like flavours here, if I blind-tasted this I might guess it's an apple-soda with a bit of a sour tang at the end + some alcohol. - As I continue sipping, it is get progressively sweeter/richer as it warms.
M- It's curious, the sour-tang at the finish is the dominant characteristic for me. It's pretty well carbonated.
O- Certainly interesting trying it, based on it being the first Zimbabwean beer I've ever had. Unfortunately in the context of being drunk in the UK, it cannot hope to compete against northern hemisphere beers. I have no reason to wish to drink this again.
Bought from The Savanna shop at Paddington station, London W2 BB 18/12/18

Not so much of a review (it was a good beer when I had it in 2005 in Vic Falls). Just remember that the tagline in the 90's was something like "Lion Lager - The Golden Lubricant". Don't believe me? Head for Senanga, Zambia and head for the restroom to see the aging poster.

Tried the Delta Lion Lager whilst in Vic Falls. This beer was a nice change of direction from the Bolingher and Zambesi. The beer poured a golden clear with thin white head that did not lace. The smell had some grass like hops and malt. The taste was sweeter than the others which was a nice change of pace. The mouthfeel was light to medium in body with good carbonation. Overall, it might have been my favorite from Delta.
