When this beer is on, it's great, the best of the line. Unfortunately it's about a 50-50 shot. Half of them foam up and are infected, undrinkable yeast bombs. Same bottle in the same 4 pack having the same lot/exp date doesn't have the issue. Some really bad quality control problems with this brewery. I end up throwing out half of the bottles and then not buying anything for about a year, hoping they fix their issues. No dice since 2009. Unfortunate because sometimes it's exceptional.

Misty, dull amber-gold; blanched almond head with decent retention.
Aroma is mostly caramel malt, not a lot going on.
Taste is similarly straightforward, caramel malt, balanced by citrus hops (orange), a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.
Nice flavour and refreshing, pleasant mouthfeel, but a touch too sugary for me even though it's a function of the style. Their pale ale is better.

Another selection from 3 cordilleras who hasn't disappointed, let's give it a whirl. Popping the top I get a waft of bready malt and red licorice. Pours to a deep copper with a thin tan head. Taste has a nice hopping up front that follows into a more balanced offering then finishes grassy. Not a big backbone but a crisp ale with a good labor and high drinkability.

Amber red color with a two finger off-white head with low retention. Faint aroma of toasted malts and caramel, with notes of biscuit.
Flavor improves the experience in intensity, though still on the lower side. Taste of slightly toasted malts with floral and refreshing hops. Mild aftertaste, just a bit dry and bitter.
Light body with good carbonation.
This beer actually gets better with time, probably they serve this on tap too cold (and that in a country that drink even adjunct lagers straight from the box, as they call it “al clima”), so take your time. This is a mild amber/red ale, but with high drinkability and more flavorful than most local beers.
