Draft by hand pump at cellar temp into pint glass
Aroma of malt, maybe some rye spiceness
Head average (2 cm), off-white, creamy, completely diminishing into 2 mm layer
Good lacing
Body medium orange, slightly hazy, like an IPA, but both the brewer and another customer described it as clear.
Flavor begins and ends slightly sweet with a slight rye spiceness, malty, no alcohol, no diacetyl, no hops
Palate medium, slightly oily, soft carbonation.
While not a fan of red ales, the rye suckered me in. This is not a bad ale, just average.
However, it was served on cask which has to give it extra points. I like what Indigo Imp is doing: brewing, serving, and bottling live ales in the English style - CAMRA should be proud.
