Appearance: Nyckelbryggeriers Piteå Lager pours a golden yellow with hints of orange in it. The clear white crown is of medium height and consist of an airy structure which makes it diminish in a matter of minutes and leave a decent amount of lacing along the glass. Plenty of carbonation is visible during the inspection.
Smell: Sweet scents of malts is the first to present itself along with a hint of cumin, a whiff of hop sourness can be traced in the background. The general "smell experience" leaves one rather satisfied, while still wishing that the scents would be a bit more powerful so there's still room for improvement here.
Taste: First of is the sweetness again, which is quickly interfered by a sharp and distinct bitterness - woah! Sadly it disappears almost as quick as it came... However, we get a slightly caramel-like aftertaste instead.
Mouthfeel: A wee bit thin, but pleasingly round and fresh due to the rich - but not overly rich - amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Slightly above decent, I'd say that it's more or less a standardized Euro Pale Lager with a bitterness that is sadly too unbalanced at times, but compensates with odd-twist features for a lager!
