A deep amber to red color, featuring a sweet malt aroma and balanced favor, with a subtle finish with German hops and a clean white head.

This beer is lacking a whole lot. It has a very watery taste with very little much else going on. It lakes what it says to be "hoppy" and was just generally disappointing as a beer. This is a sad excuse foe a Marzen, and I know that this place can do better than that.

Perhaps they've made improvements since the reviewer below tasted the beer, or we just have different marzen ideas. While not the best marzen I've ever had, it was good. It came out a nice light copper/orange color, although there could have been more head and better lacing. Decent scent, a nice bit of hoppiness. Good taste and a nice finish. Not great, but well worth a try.

Truly a slap in the face to all German lager brewer's just doesn't fit the classic style guidelines. Appearance: Copper ruby in color with a full cream colored head leaves full even rings of lacing appearance sort of delivers here. Aroma: Watered down toasted nut no rich malt character subtle hopping, just lacking I want to bring them a real Marzen. Taste: Smooth and even flavor just so weak and flavorless for a marzen, there is a pleasant sweetness just lacks so much. Mouthfeel: Creamy medium body the texture is decent but I want a fuller bodied beer. Drinkability: Goes down easy, but without the classic characteristics of a true marzen bier.
