A medium stout, black in color with a full tan head, complex roasted malt flavor with balanced hops.

I had a pitcher at the pub tonight and was happy with what I got. This is a nice deep black with a very creamy head. This one has a good rich flavor with some strong coffee notes, but a surprising lack a flavor on the back of the pallet. This is the best one that I have had from Blackwater and would recommend it over all their others.

This was the best I had at the Blackwater which I came to find wasn't saying much.
A: Black/brownish color, fairly transparent for a stout. Did have an awesome 1 finger head and some gorgeous lacing.
S: Nothing to speak of, very dissapointing.
T: Some fruit-like malts and only slight hints of coffee but not much else.
M: Very thin and almost no carbonation. Kind of like water.
D: Very high for a stout as it goes down easy as can be.
If you are looking for a good stout, just make the 10 minute drive over to Thomas and hit up Mountain State Brew Co. and get their stout, don't bother with this one.

Came to the table a nice dark, opaque color with decent tan head and some nice lacing. Had a good stout smell, nice burnt grains with nice coffee hints that translated into an excellent stout taste. Nice burnt grains, excellent maltiness, and fine coffee flavors. Goes down well and was the best beer I tried at this brewpub.

This is a very decent stout and the best offering here.
Opaque brown/black with a rich tan head it smells of roasted nuts and roasted malt, perhaps a hint of Kent in the background. It tastes rich and malty with more hop bitterness than the nose suggests. It's not quite as thick and creamy as I prefer but is smooth nonetheless. It's a good sipper and since I was sampling others i had only one.

Appearance: Dark almost opaque with ruby highlights when held toward the light some speckled lacing after the decent sized tan head dwindles so far the most visually appealing from the bunch. Aroma: Nice coffe and chocolate tones more pronounced than the porter as it should be. Taste: Nice most flavorful beer of the six I sampled deep roasted malst slightly creamy edge not bad at all. Mouthfeel: Does lack some body but still medium decent texture and smooth carbonation. Drinkability: Is great a beer I would predominantly order if I frequented this establishment and decently flavorful.
