A nice bonus from JSBerkowitz, thanks Jeremy.
Poured from a very fancy bottle (capped, corked, wax dipped, and numbered 114/240) to a large tulip.
Pours a very very murky brown, almost no head, just a thin tan film that left in a hurry. It's very hard to to get any more head, even with serious agitation.
The aroma is very pleasant. Nice burnt sugars, roasty malt, lots of dark fruit, plum, raisin, date and some fleshy red fruit.
The taste Follows the nose with the dark fruit but a little more muted. Not much going on.
Body is super thin with pretty light carbonation.
Overall all this beer was all over the place. The body and general appearance were pretty poor while the nose was very nice and the taste was average. An interesting brew, I'm glad I got to try it.

Appearance: brown in color with a 1/2" head that slowly falls. Some spotty lace dots the glass.

Smell: mild malt sweetness is pleasant on the nose.

Taste: nice malty flavor with a decent bitterness, fruit sweetness lingers in the background. Alcohol is mildly noticable and warming.

Mouthfeel: medium-heavy in body. Smooth at the start and finish. Long aftertaste.

Overall: this is a very pleasant barleywine thay hits the spot when looking to enjoy the style. Worth a try if you see it.

Thanks to Richard for sharing this here whale. Apparently, bottle 119 out of 240.

A: A very elaborate presentation. Red wax dipped bottle that is capped, corked, signed, and numbered. The pour is a muddy sort of amber color with very minimal head and carbonation.

S: The nose is sweet caramel, sweet dark fruits such as raisins, plums, and grapes, perhaps. Nothing spectacular, but passable.

T: The flavor is similarly un-wowing. Sweet caramel and rye-bread, with notes of toffee and chocolate. Some dark fruit flavor and moderate sweetness.

M: The body is medium and the carbonation is low to medium.

D: Not bad at all, but I really had no expectations. Despite being nearly 10%, pretty easy to drink, as well.
