(Served in a tulip glass)
A- This beer pours a slightly hazy deep reddish-brown body with a cyclone of microbubbles and a thick creamy tan head that grows and last forever.
S- The dry lightly toasted malt aroma is crisp with a woody green hop finish that has some notes of green mango and a faint wintergreen hint. All the hop aromas work well together.
T- The dry toasted malt favor is full with a light green pine hop finish and a green citrus pith quality to it that grows as the beer opens.
M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with no alcohol heat and a soft fizz.
O- This is a nice imperial red. It has good complexity in the full hops and full dry toasted malt that is not complex but tasty for support. There was lots of trub in the last pour but it was worth drinking anyway.

Backyard Brewing is currently contracting through Joseph James until they get the funds to build their own brewery. As of yet they don't have an adress so I can't add the place to BA.
Sampled 2/21/2011, bottle courtesy of GRG1313.
Pours slightly hazy red/orange with some offwhite head that sticks to the glass. Low retention.
Aroma is caramel and fruity hops mostly but also some earthy and chocolate notes.
Flavor is sweet caramel, cherry, citrus, pine, and bitter. Surprising considering that this was given to me on Labor Day.
Body is medium and effervescent. Drinkable.
Beer add #500
