Milk/Sweet stout
6.2% ABV
Brewed once
APPEARANCE: poured a oil black deep dark hue with a dark brown rim variation. Very small tan head that dissipated rapidly.
AROMA: smelled just like a piece of German chocolate cake. Lots of toasted coconut, coco, brown sugar and candied pecans. Smell is amazing
TASTE: taste followed the nose exactly. Perfect cake like flavor that would be hard to tell the difference from the real thing. Lots of sweet notes, deep chocolate and coconuts try to hide the small amount of hops. End with some nice malty characteristics.
MOUTHFEEL: medium to full body with very light carbonation. Oily, slick texture lots of sediment in the bottle.
OVERALL: I had heard mixed reviews in this beer. I will say I was pleasantly surprised. I split this late night with my wife as a pseudo dessert. I think that was the perfect way to enjoy it!
RATING: 3.75/5 Zombie Heads!

22oz bottle from Khourey's (Las Vegas, NV). 5.99. No apparent bottling date. Served in a small goblet.
Near black brown. Thick two fingers of tan head. Lacey and lots of yeast sediment.
Smells very much like German chocolate cake. Rich cocoa, caramel and coconut extract.
Taste follows the nose with cocoa, mild caramel, coconut, roasty malt and some brown sugar. Pretty good but there is a slight sort of artificial character to it.
Fairly thin, creamy, moderate carbonation. Cocoa powder and imitation coconut finish.
This is what it says it is. Impressively faithful to the German chocolate cake theme but lacking in body and depth.
