Had a bottle aging in the Keezer for some time.
Upon opening, not much fizz or carbonation.
Fizzy mouthfeel with a nice tart peach finish with a hint of funk.
I really like this one, too bad it's no longer available.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a thin off white head with solid retention, that reduces to a minimal spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy peaches, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, honey, candi sugar, wheat, and white bread; with lighter notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, peppercorn, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of peaches, fruity/fairly acidic/spicy yeast, oak barrels, sugars, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy peaches, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, honey, candi sugar, wheat, and white bread; with lighter notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, peppercorn, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy peaches, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, honey, candi sugar, wheat, white bread, light leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of peaches, fruity/fairly acidic/spicy yeast, oak barrels, sugars, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/sugar/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tartness and tangy fruit. Light-medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/grainy, fairly acidic/tangy, and lightly tannic mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.5%. Overall this is a delicious sweetened fruit lambic. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of peaches, fruity/fairly acidic/spicy yeast, oak barrels, sugars, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish. Very flavorful for the ABV. Nicely juicy/jammy fruits with solid Brett/Bacteria presence; balanced sugars, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Not overly sweet with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Not quite as sweet as most others I've had in this style of lambic, with solid acidity/tangy fruit presence; and more barnyard character than usual.

i dont think de troch gets enough credit for their base lambic, its just that the beers and blends it ends up in by the time we ever get to drink it dont really compare to the best in the world. i think thats unfair to their juice though, which i think is better than it gets attention for being, these fruited beers are just super sweet. still, i get excited to drink on their stuff, and its cool to find some down here in florida, i never see these in colorado at all! this one has a little bit of an amber color to it and fizzes and pops like a soda when we first pour it, but after only ten seconds or so it settles back to flat and hazy and dense in the glass, especially for the style. it smells like peach juice though, ripe and sweet and sunny and summery, pressed from whole fruit and blended in largely after fermentation, its sweet enough to be hardly worked on by the wild yeasts at all, which i think is a detriment to the overall beer, which loses some of its wild and lambic nuance due to the high residual sugar. the peach is at once natural and candy-like, but seems to overwhelm some of the wood and funk. fuller body too than a lot of these have, a little still too, and overall a beer thats unique and tasty but would be hard to drink a lot of. those looking for more sour and funk driven lambic will have to look elsewhere, but this is a tasty fruited edition, in line with some of the other de troch lambics i have had. interesting but not amazing in this manifestation...

Pours a hazy orange gold with a short lasting head of foam.

Smells of sweet peaches, slight tartness.

Tastes sweetish, light tartness of peaches. The sweet seems to come from the peaches and perhaps candi sugar?

Good mouthfeel, good fruit Lambic. DuPont

Brouwerij De Troch "Peche Lambic"
375 ml green glass bottle without freshness dating
$10.99 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ

Notes via stream of consciousness: For some reason I thought I remembered these having a little cork beneath the cap. Hmmm, the pour would seem to indicate that I'm wrong as well, there's so little carbonation that a cork would hardly be necessary. It's a lightly hazy golden-amber beneath a very short lid of bright white that's just now faded before my eyes. At least there's a creamy collar left. The aroma is sweet like sugared fruit, or even dried fruit, but I don't clearly get peach. There's something funky about it but I can't quite pinpoint it. Perhaps it even smells a little like wort. I guess in the end I'd say it's got a light touch of mustiness to it. On to the flavor - ooooooh boy is it sweet! I've definitely confused this beer with another lambic that had some real acidity and bite to it, this is barely tart. Wow, it's so sweet that I'm now wondering how many calories are in it. It's medium bodied but lacking in carbonation, and it feels supple but also flabby. There is some peach to it, and the slight acidity that's there is fairly on par with what would be in an actual peach, but it doesn't taste like fresh peach - more like canned peaches. I've made a mistake with this one. For $11 it's not that exciting, there's very little "lambic" character to it, nor is it even interesting in that it's really just one sweet note of fruit, and at just 3.5% ABV there's really not that much alcohol to it - I might have just as well had a fruit soda. On the other hand, it would make a great dessert beer, particularly if you were using it as an ingredient.

Amber in colour with small head and little carbonation. Aroma of vinegar, faint funk and some honey. Fairly sweet, with notes of cola, canned peaches and some barnyard. Medium body.

Look is a nice light color that light brown yellow peach juice color with a 1 finger head. Smell is a bit off, nothing like the taste. Taste is sweet and somewhat peachy, but not terribly on task. It is good, very good for a nice change of pace at 3.5 ABV. Feel is nice and easy to drink. Nothing harsh about this. Think this is a good to very good beer that is quite enjoyable.

From the bottle, it pours a very light peach color with a small head. Some fruit/tannins tickle the nose. Slightly sour and yet sweet peach flavor which is thirst quenching. Enjoyable!

Pours a crystal clear light/medium orange color with a medium fading white head.

Nose is a somewhat unpleasant peach character but has a burnt fruit, burnt peach crisp smell.

Mouth feel is light medium bodied but all is lost with the completely over whelming flavor profile.

The flavor profile is one that is hard to take and judge as the sugar and sweetness is virtually overpowering. There is no finesse and no real character other that SWEET. This beer is sweeter than soda - it is not unpleasant; it simply needs an ice cube.

Not my favorite fruit lambic
