A 330ml poured into a mug. 5,7%

Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a one finger head. Nice lacing on the glass.

Aroma is pure cascade hops, almost reminds me of an american west coast IPA, very piney and citrusy aroma.

The taste is a great mix of the sour fruit flavour of a belgian pale ale with a well hopped citrusy American IPA.

Quite full bodied with a medium carbonation. In combination with the bitterness of the hops this is a very drinkable beer... cheers

Bottle from pixieskid and Simon in Paris... thanks guys, can express enough gratitude...

I was terrified of this bottle... it sat on the desk overnight, and it still had a lot if head in the bottle... thought it might explode. Opened it that night, and it seems fine... no problems.
Pours a nice hazy blond color with a healthy head.
The nose has a seaweed smell, which I have come to accept in french hoppy beers. Some coriander and the slightest pear on the nose. Based on the coriander, I expect some banana, but none whatsoever.
Taste is a bit more underwhelming... tastes like a light Belgian pale. Refreshing, clean, but not much more. The nose is amazing. It is highly carbonated... not too much else.

33cl bottle: Picked this up in an Auchan. This one pours a cloudy golden color with a huge, frothy white head on it. Lots of bubbles coming up through the beer. The aroma isn't bad. Earthy notes up front, with some lighter malts and spices coming through. The taste is pretty good also. Lighter malts, some faint fruits, spices and a little earthiness. It seems to improve with each sip. Nice.

The bottle label has a large elk with a rack of horns superimposed over what looks like a beer glass and the words "Biere Blonde Volcelest". I'll try to get a picture up. I bought this in Paris at La Cave a Bulles (see review).

Pours a yellowy cloudy fluid with slight orange highlights and a large foamy white head of about two fingers width. Excellent head retention as a thin layer of white foamed remained as the beer disappeared from underneath.

Light aroma but some nice qualities. There is definitely a subtle hint of candied orange immersed in a rather sweet syrupy smell. Some hints of coriander are also present. Also present is a touch of earthy hops, but not much.

Taste is sweet and wheaty. There is some sembalance of floral Belgian flavor, but mostly it is very much on the sweet side. There is some nice earthy hop flavor in the finish but aside from that, not much here that I like.

Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with a nice soft carbonation feel.

Drinkability is good as the beer doesn't offer much in the way of pungent or strong flavor.

Volcelest.

Pours a cloudy gold. There is absolutely no head oddly enough. Perhaps we have a problem here. Flavor is extremely caramel-like. Thick and tangy and candy-like. Feel is thick and slick on liquid and there carbonation is barely there with a minimal bite on the mouth. Weird. I think I got a bad bottle. It's a shame I won't ever know the difference as I dragged this one back from Paris and won't have a chance to get another.
