Tried this beer out last night, first night WVBC had it out. My undestanding it's been quite a few years since they've put out an Octoberfest. I'm sure they haven't had it out since I moved to town over 3 years ago.
Very nice color, a wonderful deep copper with orange overtones, it allowed the light to shine through enough to sparkle a bit, but was opaque enough to keep it from coming through.
It had a nice aroma, malty with a slight bread tang, but the scent could have been a little stronger.
Tasted great! I ended up getting a pitcher of it, in fact. Smooth and light, it has a wonderful balance of malts and hops. A deep autumn feel to it.
This is a great marzen. Get it while you can.

Deep reddish copper color. No head. None. Very mild aroma hints of malt, but a good fest beer should shout malt, right? Malty flavor with a decent hop note on the finish, but it's pretty astringent. Not nearly as smooth as a good lager, not to mention a marzen, should be. Drinkability is decent. This is a below average fest beer.

Appearance: Copper amber with a thin cream head minimal lacing here but it's all good their draft system is all out of whack down there. Aroma: Consists mainly of toasted malts sweet but warming at the same time a great malt sweetness just a fall treat that must be had by all living in or visiting Morgantown. Taste: Great flavor slightly syrupy sweet toasted malt profile has the signature Ofest flava bringing a true lager to the table addicting and amazingly drinkable. Mouthfeel: Slight syrup in texture medium body great overall brew I think it kicks ass. Drinkability: Effortless might just pick up a keg of this puppy sometime this week, very good.
