Had this on tap at the West Virginia Brewing Company. Pours a yellow color with hints of orange and has a large head that settles and leaves a fair amount of lacing on the glass. The strong malts are present in the aroma and there is also a strong aroma of orange. The flavor was surprisingly smooth. The orange flavors blended well with the malts and it has a slightly bread-like character to it. Great job with this beer.

This beer was very complex for a WVBC beer. The taste made me think of the Brooklyn Brewery with the sweet malty flavor. I was surprised at the quality of this brew as many I have tried from this brewery have been average. The color was very similar to a wheat beer with yeast condensing at the bottom of the glass. I would compare this to a barley wine in strength. 7% ABV doesnt seem to be a correct rating as one will find that the first pitcher is enough. It was a pleasure drinking this beer. I have already purchased one "growler" and will follow with another. This is proof that small brewery in Northern West Virginia can turn out a sophisticated beer.

Appearance: Light golden orange with white frothy head, lacing appears evenly, nice solid looking brew. Aroma: Rich Belgian malts used here just excellent this is a beefed up witbier with coriander, candi sugar present it's quite an interesting brew. Taste: The Belgian malts used here along with the candi sugar add such a great sryupy sweetness here, citrus tones, with mild banana notes and sharp slightly acidic malted wheat is also evident. One of WVBC's better done experiments most definitely. Mouthfeel: Syrupy mouthfeel medium to light in body, very nice. Drinkability: Well, I already reserved a keg of this puppy, excellent rich flavorful witbier it's a breed of it's own I am a fan for sure.
