They brewed this in the spring time last year sort of experimental part of their organic lineup. Appearance: Pours a cloudy amber brown very thick in appearance dark and opaque forms with a big tan head. Aroma: Well the name was sort of a play on the fact that it was organic and that alot of folks who come to the brewpub represent a portion of the neo hippie community, so is it a hoppy hippie not really. Lacks an upfront hop character however there is a nice underlying herbal hop tone matched with the toasted malts and somewaht sugary sweetness that was there. It was good I ordered a growler of this unique brew. Taste: Somewaht roasty with toasted malts with light herbal hops which led to an intense sweetness that rushed the palate somewhat bready finish the hops where there with an oily texture. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied low carbonation with the hop resins flowing along the palate. Drinkability: Not bad I enjoyed the experimental brew just couldn't justify the hoppy conotation that came with the nomenclature of this brew.
