Nice porter. Pours great, has great body, great head, and nice lacing. It has a dark thick appearance and has a very nice coffee-like scent. It has a good taste, although it's a bit bitter for me, even for a porter, and is a bit dry. Overall, though, it's excellent. It has a nice coffee-like taste and, if you like dark and slightly bitter beers, I highly recommend you try it before it's gone.

A - Deep brown with a quickly dissipating head, garnet highlights and moderate lace
S - Sweet smooth chocolate malt and nutty brown scents accompany roasty odors that are faintly coffee-like
M - Thin, very light for the style -highly carbonated, extremely sweet. Not much roasted texture and salted in the finish.
T - Weak Chocolate with average brown ale and mild coffee hints with over the top effervescence detracting from the malt that is evident. Sweet residual sugary aftertaste, light hop tastes. Salty flavors seem out of place and distract from the initial sweet almost porter-quality.
D - Not the best Baltic Porter imo. I am usually a fan of the style, but a 6% cap and more carbonation than necessary give it a less than flavorful outcome. I would probably not choose to taste this again.

Nice dark apearance with a decent head.
Very clean porter brewed in the Russian style with lager yeast.
Assistant brewer was extemely proud of this one and rightfully so.
Mild roasted flavor profile with hints of toasted malt and chocolate.
Mouthfeel was very nice and had a mildly bitter finish
