Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear dark amber color with a thin and creamy white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of sweet spices (ginger and clove) along with touches of malt and hops. Medium body, with a borderline cloying sweetness. Spices are dominant here with little support from the hops that are present. The finish is thin and sweet with a lingering spice aftertaste. Below average overall.

Poured a great amber color, although a bit of head and some horizontal lacing. Has a nice scent, slightly malty with spice overtones. Excellent taste! It has great malt/hop balance with a wonderful, slightly hoppy/bitter aftertaste. Excellent use of spices, I tasted orange and a bit of cinnamon and coriander. Considering WV's beer laws limit beer to 6% ABV, this is a fantastic winter warmer.
