Great to see that craft brewery is finding its way to Parkersburg, WV, where I found this on tap at the local BW3s. Hopefully the state will pop the cap and the selection will be greater. Impressed for a blonde ale. Nice and refreshing, some fruit notes, cloudy for sure. Would have compared this to a lighter wheat beer without the grainy qualities. Easy to consume and try again.

A nice golden hue out of the tap, it has a nice, although not terribly tall, head and good lacing. It has a really nice scent, a bit sweet, but a nice malt/hop balance. A good, crisp taste. Nice with light maltiness. Goes down very smooth. Probably the least flavorful of the brewpub's brews, it's still a great beer and an amazing thirst quencher.

Hey, if you ask me this is as crisp and clean as it gets for an ale.

Nice clear golden color with not much head unfortunately. Carbonation was kind of at a minimum too in this one. Sweet malty aroma and taste, some hops in the finish but not a lot. I do not drink many lagers but this ale sure reminds me of one. A big step up for anyone who drinks BMC and most would probably enjoy it!

Quite drinkable indeed at 4.5%.

Beers pour a very pale golden color. Clear and clean looking with fine beads of carbonation.
The nose was almost a skunky or musty smell. Its almost as if they used off tasting water or something.
Flavor wasnt any better. Very light, little mouthfeel and the off flavor permeated the whole taste..
This is the only beer that WVBC serves that i dont really like.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured into a pint glass. Straw yellow with white head, some lacing.

Malt dominates the nose. Smells like a good, clean macrolager, with a better quality of malt.

Tastes like a good macrolager too, despite it being, technically, an ale. Malt dominates with mild hop character at the finish. Crisp mouthfeel, good drinkability.

I went to the brewpub last friday night and wanted the Blackwater Stout, but problems with the CO2 meant this was the only brew available. The Gold is a good choice for non-BAs who really wanted a Bud; the BA's will probably want to try the Appalachian Ale, Ned's Pale, or Blackwater Stout (if they're not out and the taps are working).

This one pours a gold color with a tall white head that has nice retention and leaves some lacing on the glass. The aroma is subdued, but there is some nice malt character in there. The flavor wasn't what I expected. The body was very light. The flavor was quite sweet and malty - not very much hop presence. I'm not sure about this one as an American Blonde, but it is still a nice one to drink.

I wasn't quite sure how to categorize this beer, because it's looks and tastes like a lager. However, due to constraints of their equipment and lack of time to lager this high selling beer the brewers use an ale yeast on this one. As the name describes, it's golden in color with a white creamy head. The aroma is full of two row pale malt, and it's also has a bit of a yeast aroma. In the flavor there is a hint of a hop character, the beer is very sweet and malty making this one the WVBC highest selling beer. Light bodied and refreshing, it does have a creamier mouthfeel to it. I am glad this beer exists great for crossing over macro swillers. I still prefer something else on the beer list most of the time.
