Dark amber brown in color almost opaque with a tan thin head that forms a full collar of trickled lace. The aroma contains slightly burnt dark malts and not a lot of sweetness here some underlying chocolate and coffee tones. All around flavor is decent not to impressive, I just wish this beer was a little more agressive with it's flavors. The forefront of flavor brushes against the palate some bitter sweet tones of harsh roasted barley and chocolate malt, and the characteristic dry mouthfeel was also present. Does a good job of replicating a classic style, but thin body and no creamy foam leave me wanting more. They need to have their draft system looked at again, because the pressure was low and it doesn't pour like any nitro tap I have ever seen. Pretty drinkable, but I don't desire another one anytime soon give me a Guiness or better yet a Beamish.
