First had: on tap at the Blacksburg brewpub

Clear coppery color with a thin wispy head. Aroma of caramel malts and cereal grains. Similar taste, caramel malts, homebrewer's wort, toasted cereal grains, distant herbal/leafy hops. No surprises here, just standard stuff. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation, drinks pretty easily.

Poured from a growler into a 14 oz "pint" glass. Pours a nice translucent red with a tiny white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of sweet grain, some wheaty notes, not much else, and not much aroma. Tastes of sweet grain with slight sweet barley taste well balanced, however a little watery. Beer is carbonated a little on the heavy side, but it goes well with the light body. Overall, a slightly above average beer.
