Ortlieb's Lager, 4% - clear yellow straw color with a frothy white cap of foam, thin lager aroma and taste with mild corn, grains, and hops. Thin but refreshing! Cheers!

Its crystal clear, deep gold body reveals some very fine, steadily rising bubbles beneath a short cap of white foam that quickly fades to just a thin collar. A delicate, grainy malt wrapped in floral hops and tempered by a touch of yeasty sulphur welcomes you and foreshadows the flavor to come. The body is light/medium and it's lightly crisp and smooth in the mouth with just a mild caress of tingly bubbles on the tongue. The malt character is straightforward pilsner malt, but it has a light touch of caramelization to it; and it's extremely well-infused with it's floral and lightly spicy hops; then backed by a firm bitterness that leads to a refreshing, dry finish. Wow! This is a really well-balanced lager that displays the malt characteristics and hop balance of a Dortmunder, but without the strength and body. Interesting, refreshing, well-brewed, and highly drinkable!
