This beer has a listed OG of 13.4 at the brewpub; and the ABV is 4.3% although that seems a bit low with everything considered. A clear, very deep copper colored body reveals deep amber and gold highlights; and its creamy off-white head holds well before dropping to a wide collar and lacy surface covering. Lightly toffee-ish and delicately toasty malt are noteable in the nose; and welcome you to partake of the fine nectar within. The body is medium and it's crisp in the mouth with a fine, moderate carbonation. The flavor reveals the "juicy" maltiness associated with Vienna malts before warming to reveal it's softly toasted side and well-balanced floral hop flavor and firm bitterness. It's nicely balanced and finishes dry with a dollop of rich malt and some leafy hop flavor. Very nice!
