Copenhagen 6/8-2017. 50 cl bottle from Kvikly, Østergade, Middelfart. Very simple label stating that Gundestrup is both a Brewery and a Dairy.
Very foamy upon opening leaving a puddle on my Kitchen floor. Pours clear dark brown with a red tinge and a small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam barely covering the surface. No lacing.
Aroma is strong and dominated by sweetness - but with a bitter edge. Sweet caramel with bitter coffee and notes of licorice and boozy alcohol.
Soft carbonation and thick oily palate.
Flavor is heavy sweet followed by medium sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with licorice.
Nice one from the Dairy.
