Pours reddish/ruby brown with a thin head that becomes wispy. Some lacing sticks.'
The smell is of smoke (meaty and peaty) with caramel and dark fruit.
The smoke covers some of the nuances of the style, though some caramel shows through and a hint of dark fruit weaves in and out.
Medium to full bodied. A bit sharp.
An interesting brew. Quite the smoky one. Malty as the style calls for. Something slightly plastic-like at some sips, but doesn't detract too much.
