London Porter
Water Street Brewery - The Brewery

Served a dark brown in color with a creamy tan head. Vinous nose with hints of roasted malt, chocolate and toffee. Mouthfeel was medium-bodied. Slightly sweet malt flavor starts things off and then transitions to a more fuller chocolate malt flavor. Vinous taste dominates the mid-tones. Hops are mild, but supply enough bitterness to make the finish pleasant, but not enough to overcome the linger dark fruit flavor. This reminded me a bit of Fuller's London Porter. Certainly the vinous tones of a classic porter were there, but it lacked the smooth texture and rich malt flavor.
