An 8 minute walk north-east of the Marktplatz you'll find the Brauhaus Goslar. It's Goslar's only brewery housed inside a beautiful half-timber and brick building from 1720. As you step inside you'll see a bar to the right with the copper brewhouse behind it, steps in front of you, and additional dining rooms to the left. There's outdoor seating right in front on the street when the weather is good.

The walls are painted white, and there's a lot of blonde wood. It's fairly stark except for a few old photographs, malt bags, some old enamel signs, and modern back-lit lighting fixtures representing hops and grain. The bathrooms upstairs are also quite nice. On the wall in the men's room they have a kind of funny saying written above the two urinals which are marked "Gose" and "Rammelsberger Pils". It reads "Bitte helfen Sie uns trennen:", or Please help us separate: with arrows pointing down to each of the urinals.

There are four beers available on tap with the gose hell, gose dunkel, and Rammelsberger Pils being year-round. A seasonal makes up your last choice. It's currently a chocolate accented gose, but they also do an altbier, Märzen, Maibock, sommerbier, Roter Oktober, and a Doppelbock. They've even done specially hopped beers which is cool.

If for some reason those don't appeal to you, they also flavor their gose beers with different fruit sodas, syrups, or liquors, and they have two alcohol free beers from other breweries.

The food is good, although the menu is a little limited in range. Some examples include Goulash soup €4,80, baked potato with herbed sour cream and salad garnish €6,90, large salad with fried mushrooms and chicken breast €10,90, schnitzel with red pepper and mushrooms sauce €14,90, and goulash with spaetzle and a small salad €19.80 which is their highest priced item.

Brauhaus Goslar has plenty of external seating, and the internal seating is split with most of the dining area to the left as you walk in, with the tanks and the bar to the right. More seating upstairs in couches and arm chairs. Interior is a little on the new side. Seemed to clean for the rustic interior design they had going, but was well laid out, with brewery themed decor and relics. Beer was good, focusing on 2 Gose - a Hell and a Dunkel, and a Pilsner. They also will occasionally have a 4th seasonal on tap. In addition, they have plenty of "mixed beers". Radlers (shandys), diesels, etc. All was good. Wait staff was great. Fluent in both German and English, seemed to come around at the right times, never intruded, but never had to wait for service eitheer. Decent selection of food, a bit of everything. The Germans we were with said it was great traditional German food, with plenty of vegetarian friendly options. Also had kids meal options. Prices weren't bad, 3,50 Euro for a .5L, in par with what other places charge for a non local brew.
