Available one night only at Fizz for Chicago Craft Beer Week 2010.
Hazy copper orange, a healthy amount of foam that stuck around for the duration.
Aroma was clean and hoppy, somewhat fruity, also grassy. Grass clippings and apples.
Flavor was malt forward with a good deal of balancing hop character. Although this was "triple hopped" with Hallertau, it wasn't overly bitter, and only moderately so. Bready with some apple notes, grassy hops drying out in the finish. Very easy to sip and savor, though it had a fairly full body reminiscent of an Alt or Doppel. Really enjoyable. Hope they plan to make a large scale batch in the future.
