Nothing rocks like this brew! Amber colored, German styled Maibock. Our maltiest concoction but with balanced hop bitterness and aroma, making a brew which will warm your bones in the Winter, and excite your senses in the Spring. Cheers!

on tap at brewpub.
light amber with a alight haze and a bone head that has good retention. Lacing on glass s spotty.
The aroma is primarily malt, bt there's more than a bit of hops. The hops are a bit more evident in tasting.
O: a nice, flavorful maibock that is a bit more hoppy than usual.

On tap at the brewpub.
A: darker amber, cloudy with no head
S: extremely faint, almost no nose, no head probably contributed to lack of nose
T: hard to identify as a maibock, no intense sweeter malt, has hints of ale undertones rather than lager
M: lighter for maibock

Aroma - Moderate malt aroma with a subtle hint of toasty melanoidins. Low hop aroma with a hint of fruity esters.
Appearance - Hazy. Amber to light copper in color. Thin head, but none of the beers were poured with a head. Some lace followed the beer in the glass.
Flavor - Sweet and toasty malts drove the flavor. Slight fruitiness with a mild bitterness. Finished on the dry side which went well with the sweet malts.
Mouthfeel - Lighter body than the style would suggest. Moderate to Low carbonation. Clean tasting, no harshness detected.
Overall - Sadly this is not a Maibock despite the claim in the menu. The beer could use an extended lagering period that the brewery probably can not afford. However, it was easy to drink and I could have enjoyed another one had time allowed. To improve the beer I would increase either the hop bitterness or the carbonation and use finnings to clear the beer. I noticed that the haze was common in all the beers on tap.
