Appearance: Served up a dark brown, near black body with a 1½ inch-high head comprised of khaki-colored foam.
Smell: Malty nose of caramel and chocolate with some notable burnt malt notes of Black Patent and vanilla beans.
Taste: Vanilla-accented caramel malts with a smooth, light-handed touch of chocolate. Some charry astringency seeps in from the Black Patent and pairs with a modest amount of hop bitterness. Drying, roasted malt finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: It's fairly decent, though I would have preferred less Black Patent (if any) as it always adds a hint of harshness to a brew.

Had while visiting Chattanooga. Served up in a pint. Nearly opaque rich brown, with a tan head that settles and fades.
Nose is gentle, slight vanilla, malts.
Taste is malty, chocolate roast, with barky mild vanilla on the end. The vanilla is there, but not as much as I'd expect.
Slightly thin mouthfeel. Great overall drinkability.
