Tasted on tap at the brewhouse. Nice red color but no head and little carbonation. Body also thin for what should be a malt-forward sipper. Spices smelled interesting, with obvious cinnamon and nutmeg, but I struggled to get any malt aromas. I found the spice flavors overpowering without any malt backbone to hold them in check. The overal impression was medicinal. I enjoy malty. beers with subtle spicing, but this was far from subtle and was just out of balance.

On tap at the brewpub.
Reminds me of a wassail.
A: cloudy, deep copper color, no head
S: almost none, some holiday spices
T: roasted malt with holiday spices that work, lighter in taste
M: well-balanced and lighter in mouthfeel
O: needs a lot more body

Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a dark clear amber color. There was very little off white head and no lacing. The nose is decent. Some cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, but not over done. Some malts also. The taste is a bit spicy, and also not overdone. Nutmeg, cinnamon and a hint of clove. Some malts. Nice!
