First off I miscalculated in my style categorizing this beer,after reading stuff on "other" beer sites who rated this an imperial ipa I did as well,it's not.Pours into a small tulip glass a deep burnt orange/amber with a large blooming off white head atop.Caramel and toffee with a nice hit of leafy/grassy hops in the nose,big pilsner malts wich is typical of a biere de garde.Toffee and grain on the palate with light caramel sweetness,again a decent shot of leafy hops,and cork in the finish.Label says "hoppy amber" it's a very very nice biere de garde,a style I like alot.
