This beer is classified variously on different websites. Whatever style it is, what I get is a boozy, somewhat fizzy dark ale that isn't bad, but nothing too special either.

This is more like a strong brown ale than belgian strong dark ale even if you've got some ester notes. Some chocolate and nutty notes. High carbonation

Pours dark, no light comes through speak of. Two fingers of off whitkhead that stuck around for a few minutes. Smell of cherry, roasted malt, a bit of grass. Mild tastes of dried fruits and a bit of the grass. Good amount of bitterness, not to dry with good carbonation. Overall I liked this and will drink another. Not as malty as I like for the style. Maybe a hybrid Begian dark and pale ale.
