L- Quite dark amber, pours clear with a 3cm pale tan foam lid. Holds well at +10mins, impressive for the ABV%
S- Oh, I wasn' expecting a fruit note. There is something quite floral, almost like a hint of peach or similar.
T- Boom... good solid body with properly bold dry trad hops coming in at the finish. It has a richness to it too, no doubt why this is named 'winter'.
F- Slow sipping cold weather beer. It has a richness, but the hops are that bold they balance it out.
O- That 1st sip^ had a real impact. I like this, it's not shy, for sure. Also it's not messing about 'with youthful things' like lychee+bubble-gum etc, ie Old Grumpy here appreciates it's trad profile ::

Appearance: dark hazy orange color with a 1/2" head that slowly falls to a surface covering.

Smell: ripe fruits and an earthy tone makes up the aroma.

Taste: caramel, fresh baked bread, red apples, orange, and an earthy bitterness.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp from start to finish.

Overall: a real flavorful and tasty ale.
