Dark brown colour, looks tarry black in the glass, no translucence. Tall, finely bubbled, persistent, light brown foam. It "stains" the glass nicely.
Aroma of roasted, tobacco and ash, then coffee, sweet chocolate with hints of liquorice.
Taste slightly sour with a touch of sweetness and a strong, intense, bitter finish.
Alcohol gently warms the oesophagus. Low saturation. Texture smooth, soft, creamy. Body high downwards. Aftertaste strongly dry, roasted, ashy.
