i guess they have closed their location on the other end of town, so this original space is the only show they have now, their venue space outside of town notwithstanding. it was cool to check out the original spot, where a lot of the production appears to still be happening, its sort of a time warp, feels like its been there forever, but its a neat warehouse sort of space, small bar area, and felt kind of packed in when i was there, good energy, very much a hippie sort of vibe, but thats missoula in general i guess, very welcoming and old school, some outside light brightening the pace up through open doors. not much to look at or anything, feels like a working brewery. i was blown away by the selection though, all the classics on tap, a whole range of seasonal beers too, and then some crazy sours i didnt even know they made, impressive list to be sure. i had a crisp and refreshing kolsch which hit the mark on a hot day, and then tried the tangerine station, a barrel aged tangerine sour and was stoked on it, seems they have a bit of a broader range than i have given them credit for in the past. the service was good, she was cool but also very busy so i didnt really get a chance to chat, but she kept up well. the prices were fair in here too, and it was a good hang. if you think these guys are all scotch ale and hazy, pay them a visit at their original location and you will be pleasantly surprised! an iconic brewery here, and they continue to deliver!

A good place to drink good beer. Along with several mainstays, they keep a good selection of seasonals, rotating, and limited brewed beers to stay interesting. Aside from bar snacks, they have no food. They do allow outside food however. It's kind of a dive, so if you are trying to impress some beer snobs it may not work. On the other hand, you can show up in a tux after a wedding and still fit in.
