Appearance: Fudge brown in color, the head just a film; not much lacing
Smell: Very oaky in the aroma, with some cherry, black bread and chocolate elements
Taste: Black bread and oak, up front, with hints of cherry building by mid-palate; the finish is dominated by the oak
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation
Overall: This is a three year old version of the Tart Cherry Porter that has been aged in oak; while it is a nice beer in its own right, the oak is a bit overwhelming relative to the cherry flavors and it lacks some of the cherry nuance of the Tart Cherry Porter
