Described as a mocne beer yet only 6.5%, so I'm a little disappointed. It's not actually much stronger than a usual Zubr. And the bison is not looking friendly. I just spent my money to buy 4 of him, he should be more happy, without me he would not need to exist, he would just run around pointlessly in the forest.
However, I do kind of like the design. The mocne black looks much better than the usual Zubr design. Before I have even poured it, it gets at least a 2.5 for look.
This doesn't have the same slightly putrid aroma of most other mocny beers, actually it's aroma is pretty light and hoppy. Head is looking pretty impressive, as is the colour.
Taste has great bitterness and is completely different from most other mocne beers. This retains a feeling and taste of quality, yet is still pretty strong. And still mega impressive value. Tastes that dominate include dates, prunes, Polish/German hops, orange peel, black pepper and pineapple. Feel is a little on the thin side.
It's pretty good, easy drinking and strong with a cool angry zubr. Impressive. The usual Zubr tastes a little more interesting with more yeastiness, but this one is great too. Both are examples of how to create something great without spending and charging huge amounts.
