On tap at The Publican in Chicago, IL. 12oz served in a tulip glass with lunch on 10/18/2014.

A- Lighter orange-amber colour with a nice one finger white head. This does look like grapefruit juice, which is appropriate as we are at The Publican for brunch. Half finger white head that drops quickly into a thin white collar, not much else. Nice lacing. [4]

S- Grapefruit, citrus, oak, and plenty of vinegar acidity. I enjoyed the citrus predominance in the nose, and you can definitely tell this will be a tart beer. Not superbly complex, but with enough appealing elements to keep me interested. It's not particularly yogurty or lactic, which was nice. [4]

F- Grapefruit juice, citric acid, oak tannins and some vinegar accentuated by a slight sweet pale malt that is mostly overcome by the citrusy sweetness. This is fairly sour, but not overly so; perhaps 5-6/10 sour? It has that very typical New Belgium mineral finish. [4]

M- Medium bodied, nicely carbonated, crisp and peppery in terms of how it feels. Easy to drink at 7.5%.. a bit dangerously so. Finish is grapefruit juice. [4]

O- Seems quite similar to Le Terroir, but with a bit less of the grapefruit and more of the acidity and barrel presence. [4]
