Had this at the SF Tour de Fat to start off the day. It’s a hoppy Berliner Weiss. Hits all the right notes.
Light crisp and slightly tart, this made for a fun sipper.

Berliner Weisse
On Draught at Idyll Awhile Wine Bar & Bistro.
My first review
Look: Pale, Hay colored. Clear. 1/4 Retained Head, Pours with a 1" head. Beautiful Lacing clings to the glass while drinking. Very Lively Beer, Inviting.
Smell: Sooo Sweet. Herbal, Perfumy, Citrus and Citrus Rines. Notes of bitter lemon peel.
Taste: Sweet, Semi Sour, or Tart. Medicinal. Some Funk. Like sucking on a lemon and chasing with lemon peel. Zesty.
Mouthfeel: Light Carbonation, Crisp, Clean, Tart, Light bitters. Lemony and very refreshing. Would Love to drink this sessionally over the warm summer.
Overall: A very refreshing, Light, Somewhat bitter, and very sweet and sour Beer. The light carbonation makes this an easy to drink beer without the burping to go along with it. Looks attractive and would highly recommend to anyone. Have also gotten great 1st hand reviews from patrons at my bar.

A: Moderate tropical citrus hop fruitiness upfront, followed by tangy lacto sourness.
A: Deep golden color, with a light haze and an inch thick white head. The head has surprisingly persistent retention.
T: Big tropical, citrusy hops that give way to a super tangy lacto sourness. No noticeable breadiness.
M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation, well attenuated and finishes semi-dry.
O: Pretty tasty; the mosaic dry-hopping provides an interesting take on a Berliner Weisse. The tropical, fruity aroma and flavor of the hops worked well with the lacto sourness. The beer could be even better with a slightly larger complimentary doughy/bread presence.

On tap at Congregation Ale House in Pasadena, CA.
Pours a hazy light yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Thick swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with wheat, grain, grass, hay, earth, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour grain, grass, earth, and lemon juice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty, light, and easy to drink.
Serving type: on tap.
