8.5% abv, 85 ibu, draught.
A - clear copper with one finger head.
S - sweet, fruity, piney, dried date.
T - moderate carbonation, smooth medium body. up front with sweet, fruit, dried fruit, caramel hint, emerging hoppy, balanced out with malt.
O - too sweet for me, it's a pretty promising brew, big, smooth, bitter. kinda oxidized feel to me.

From the growler, it pours amber with a small head that stays a while. Floral citrus scent caresses the nose - maybe some alcohol as well. The taste is definitely big on hops, with some malt in the background and leaves a faint lingering bitterness.

Poured from an Appalachian Vintner growler into a Dogfish traditional oversized snifter.

A- Pours a medium amber color with a 1/4 inch off-white head that retains a bit before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a large center patch of bubbly surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves small clots behind.

S- Sharp nose of pungent citrusy hops, a noticeable booze fume and a bit of juniper.

T- Juicy hop flavor gives way to some assertive bitterness and faint malt backing. Notes of orange, grapefruit and lemon. Not getting much of the botanical essence of the beer but it's quite tasty all the same.

M- Soft feel with a slight sharpness from the hops. Medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side.

O- Though I'm failing to catch a lot of the juniper presence, this is a nice tasting DIPA that hides its strength well.

Poured from the Howler, pours a slightly hazed amber with a thumb of Rocky pearl colored head. Nice lacing and above average head retention, clears nicely

S: Some breadyness and grapefruit

T: Bready with pine, apricot, and leafy hops, some pineapple as well up front. Cakeyness, pine, a little toffee & a little grapefruit as this warms, Finishes piney, with some cakeyness, dryness & a little grapefruit

MF: Cakey, fairly light carbonation, nice balance

Drinks easy despite the ABV, well worth a try
