This beer wasn't as sprucey as I was hoping for and It's weak and thin on the nose. Everything else was quite nice though. It's still a good DIPA. Try it!

About a 16oz pour, New Belgium glass, on tap.
It’s a sunny yellow, hazed to opacity in all but in all but the brightest light. The white head laces in sheets.
Soft nondescript citrus, ale yeast, hint of guava pulp.
Immediate crispness meets funky hops and what is probably the spruce, however there is absolutely no distinct flavor from the tree. Moderate bitterness and vague citrus and fruit flavors complete the flavor aspect.
It’s got a yeasty medium body with carbonation on the soft side.
Like each installment in the Voodoo Ranger series I’ve tried, disappointing. Neither guava, nor spruce are distinctly present. I doubt the majority of people would know either was an ingredient without prior knowledge. It’s a decent, but not impressive, especially in the nose, IPA.
