T: non-descript citrus through the middle; nice tangerine on the finish; mild to moderate bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish;
O: OK, but not interesting;

Hazy pale yellow with a 1" white head, which lasts. Moderate lacing. Suspended particles.
Aroma of pineapple, pine.
Taste follows nose: pineapple, pine.
Medium body, light carbonation. Dry, resinous finish.
Another good one in the Vodoo Ranger series.

New Belgium Brewing Co. "Voodoo Ranger Agent 77 IPA"
12 fl. oz. can coded "15 MAY 2022 0722 220106061V282265"
$2.99 @ Foodery Beer, Phila., PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: Agent 77 pours a hazy yellow-gold body beneath a thumb's width of white foam. The aroma is citrusy and tropical. The flavor is a bit different with a huge amount of peach right upfront. The malt is basic and sweetish, propelling the fruity hop notes forward. It seems like there's some wheat in play but I'm not sure about oats. I'm finding notes of peach, orange, guava, passionfruit, and white grape. A moderate to median bitterness balances it nicely and it finishes mainly dry with a dollop of sweetish malt and some delicate spiciness lingering shortly. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and gently crisp. The head held up better than average but not great, and I'd say the lacing is in the same boat. I really like the choice of hops in this and it's an easy drinking and refreshing IPA despite its 7.7% ABV.

Pours a hazy yellow, big sudsy head and some nice lacing, snot machine gets tons of tropical fruit, taste buds get all than, some mild hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied, nice carbonation. I can see myself buying a sixer!

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Cloudy yellow, huge head.
Smell: Citrus, pears.
Taste: Mild sweetness, pear, white wine-slight apple, a mineral note. Very low bitterness, light feel.
Overall: Nelson is a unique hop showcased by Agent 77. Interesting white wine flavors, but still definitely a beer. Easy drinking and light feel. Kind of interesting to have a non-supercharged high-octane version of a Nelson-hopped beer.

missed this one the first time around so good to see it back, i heard good things at the time, and was able to score a pour at the new belgium location inside the denver airport. nice presentation in the rounded teku, hazy pale orange in color and very fizzy, an almost belgian looking wispy white head crowns it, looks nice. the aroma is a little soapy and ven for a second a tad fishy to me but i can pick out nelson hops for sure, some melon in the mix too to me, sweet orange peel, herbal bitterness as well, not just juice, the ferment might not be totally clean, or the line may not, which would be inexcusable at a place like this. the flavor is good, cantaloupe and citrus, a little sweet floral honey too, i dont taste much grain but i get a little sugar all the way through the off dry finish, not objectively sweet, but makes this go a little longer. the hops are fresh, some lime and some grapefruit as it warms, but i get a slight ester in the yeast im not sure is intentional or needs to be here, and it throws this a little weird for me. lots to like, but i would not call this a standout in their lineup. good not great. i dont get the branding either, this ranger thing is forced and tired...
